FlavorFlick ("we," "us," or "our") operates the FlavorFlick mobile application and the website at flavorflick.ca (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
FlavorFlick is designed to minimize the personal data we collect. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or password.
When you first launch the app, a random, anonymous UUID is generated and stored on your device. This identifier lets us associate your swipe history with your device so we can build your taste profile. It is not linked to your real-world identity.

Our infrastructure (AWS, Cloudflare, Supabase) may automatically log standard request metadata, such as IP address, device type, operating system, app version, and the timestamp and endpoint of API requests. These logs are used for security, abuse prevention, performance monitoring, and debugging.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
Your swipe history is associated only with the anonymous device UUID, not with any personally identifiable information.

FlavorFlick is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Because we do not collect personally identifying information, we identify your data using the device UUID. To make a request, email us at the address below and include the UUID from the app's Settings screen. You can also stop all data collection at any time by uninstalling the app.
We use industry-standard safeguards — including TLS encryption, database access controls, and encrypted storage at rest — to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our servers are located in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in a country whose data protection laws differ from those of your jurisdiction.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice or update to the app listing. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
